Friend of mine has one of these. Not really good for racing as those driveshafts are prone to failure. His broke from being used so much this past winter. Is it a 99 or earlier than 99?

might take you up on that; abs light is on, so that's gonna be fun to sort out, I think the trac light is on too, so fun fixing times

yup yup :] That could be many things. Unfortunately there isn't a "common Volvo" thing for those lights. It could be anything from a damaged ABS sensor to the ABS control module + software. Both lights will illuminate due to the shared network. A solid ca though buddy. I have a thing for V70/ XC70's

had one with that exact problem. I cut the abs module open and soldered the cracked solder tracks and the lights went out. Mathews volvo site has more info on the problem.
